SMS

Outbound SMS on the same Project inbox and wallet

SMS is a CoPulse channel through MSG91. Create an MSG91 account, register a sender ID or header (India DLT), connect the Authkey in Setup → Channels → SMS, then send from campaigns, drips, and workflows. Replies and other channels still land in the omnichannel inbox. SMS is not WhatsApp session chat and it is not RCS.

When teams use SMS

Reach people who are not on WhatsApp, or add a text hop next to templates, email, and voice. Library kits that print SMS are still sketches until this channel is connected.

Reminders and nudges

Appointment or visit reminders when WhatsApp is not the first app. Pipeline stage is still the CRM truth.

Campaigns and drips

Transactional and promotional SMS from Growth, with a wallet preview before send.

Workflows

send.sms on stage change when MSG91 is connected — same Agents → Workflows builder as WhatsApp and email.

Wallet

SMS meters the Organization wallet. Preview spend on pricing before a blast.

Frequently asked questions

MSG91, DLT, and how SMS sits next to WhatsApp and RCS.

Can I send SMS from CoPulse?

Yes. Connect MSG91 under Setup → Channels → SMS, then send from campaigns, drips, or workflows.

Which provider?

MSG91, including India DLT sender ID / header work. Outbound uses the MSG91 Flow / send API.

Is this the same as RCS?

No. RCS is branded rich messaging via Dotgo where the device and carrier support RBM. SMS is DLT text on the handset.

Does SMS replace WhatsApp?

No. Live WhatsApp is still Gupshup: session chat, templates, and the 24-hour window. SMS is a separate hop.

OTP and transactional SMS?

MSG91 covers transactional and promotional messaging. Do not treat CoPulse as a bank OTP product. Preview wallet rates before volume.

Who bills what?

CoPulse debits the Organization wallet per send. MSG91 may bill transport separately. See pricing.

Connect SMS on the same wallet

Add MSG91 next to WhatsApp, RCS, and email. Preview cost before you send.
