Outbound email with SMTP
Use SMTP when you must send through an existing mail provider instead of CoPulse SES.
In the app: Setup → Channels → Email
Configure SMTP
- Open the email channel and choose SMTP.
- Enter host, port, username, and password. Store only mailbox credentials meant for this project.
- Set From name and From address to a domain the SMTP host is allowed to send.
- Send a test. Check spam folders if SPF/DKIM on that domain do not include this host.
How to test SMTP
- Click Send test email on the channel.
- Confirm the message in the destination mailbox (and spam).
- Turn on IMAP and reply if you need the thread in Inbox.
